Water bottles are having a fashion moment.
What started as sustainability-conscious celebrities carrying reusable flasks on red carpets has evolved into a full-blown accessory category. In 2026, we're seeing water bottles styled like handbags, worn crossbody on runways, and priced accordingly. Dior, Fendi, Givenchy, Prada - they've all released bottles that cost more than most people's monthly grocery shop.
A decent water bottle costs about £20. A really good one might set you back £40. Or you could spend £700 on a Dior flask with a crossbody strap and call it an outfit.
Here's what your money gets you at the top end of the market.
1. Dior Aqua Bottle with Shoulder Strap

Price: £600–£700
If a Lady Dior bag and a water bottle had a baby, this would be it.
The Dior Aqua is designed to be worn, not carried. The stainless steel bottle sits inside a leather holder with a removable shoulder strap woven with the Christian Dior jacquard. Sling it crossbody like a mini saddle bag, or slip it into a tote when you want something lower-key.
The bottle itself keeps drinks hot for 12 hours and cold for 24, etched with the Dior Oblique motif. Available in black, off-white, yellow, and seasonal shades.
Resale sites list it under "crossbody bags." That tells you everything.
2. Givenchy 4G Flask

Price: £300–£500
Matthew M Williams brought his signature hardware obsession to hydration.
The Givenchy creative director (and founder of cult streetwear label 1017 ALYX 9SM) designed this polished aluminium flask for the Spring/Summer 2022 runway. It's finished in high-shine silver or gold, with the 4G emblem engraved on the screw cap and Givenchy branding etched across the front.
The real detail is the strap. The adjustable black leather shoulder strap features Williams' trademark asymmetrical metal tips - the same industrial hardware language he's known for at ALYX. It turns a simple flask into something you'd see slung across a model at Paris Fashion Week.
3. Versace Logo Water Bottle

Price: £280–£360
Versace's stainless steel bottle features the brand's signature logo printed in contrasting colours. It comes with a detachable shoulder strap in black leather and webbing, woven with the Greek key pattern.
The aluminium body keeps drinks at temperature, and the strap makes it easy to carry. Available in metallic pink, black, and blue depending on the season. It's bold, recognisable, and very Versace.
4. Loewe x SIGG Paula's Ibiza

Price: Around £195
Loewe's collaboration with Swiss bottle specialist SIGG is part of the brand's Paula's Ibiza collection, which leans playful and colourful. The aluminium bottles are screen-printed with vibrant designs including mermaids, salamanders, shells, and parrots.
Each bottle comes with an adjustable calfskin leather strap that can be hooked onto a bag or worn around the wrist. The bottles are BPA-free and hold around 600ml.
This is the most affordable option from a major luxury house, and the prints make it feel more like a holiday accessory than a status symbol. If you want designer without the designer's seriousness, this is the one.
5. Prada Stainless Steel Water Bottle

Price: £90–£140
Prada's water bottles are surprisingly understated compared to the competition. Available in black, silver, and gold finishes, they feature the embossed Prada lettering logo and come with a snap-hook and removable ring for carrying.
The 500ml bottle is insulated, though Prada notes that some versions are "not suitable for isothermal use," which suggests they're designed more for looks than performance. At under £150, they're the cheapest designer bottles from a major fashion house and have become popular on resale platforms.
Function-wise, you can get the same insulation technology for £30 elsewhere. But it won't say Prada on the front.
6. Pucci Marmo-Print Glass Bottle

Price: Around £100
Pucci takes a different approach. Instead of metal, their bottle is made from borosilicate glass with an engraved fish motif. It comes with a polyester sleeve in the brand's signature Marmo print, inspired by the blue grotto on Capri.
The bottle is part of Pucci's yoga capsule collection and is designed for the gym, office, or outdoor use. Glass keeps drinks tasting fresh without any metallic flavour, though it's obviously more fragile than steel.
The brand recommends hand-washing only, so this isn't for anyone who wants low maintenance.
7. Balenciaga H2O Bottle

Price: £100
Balenciaga's take on the water bottle is typically Demna. It's flat like a hip flask, made from matte black stainless steel, and has "H2O" printed on one side with small Balenciaga branding on the other.
At 4.7 x 7 inches, it holds roughly 500ml and weighs 380 grams. There's no insulation, no strap, and no accessories. It's the bottle equivalent of a statement piece that doesn't try too hard.
It sold out almost immediately when it launched in 2021 as part of Balenciaga's "Objects" collection. Balenciaga previously sold £480 water bottle holders for their FW19 collection, so the £100 bottle felt almost reasonable by comparison.
Why Do These Cost So Much?
The honest answer is that you're paying for the name. A Prada water bottle uses the same stainless steel as a £30 Chilly's bottle. A Loewe aluminium flask is functionally identical to a £15 SIGG without the leather strap.
What you're buying is the logo, the design, and the ability to pull a Dior flask out of your bag at a meeting or a dinner. For some people, that's worth it. For most, it's not.
The fashion houses know this. These bottles aren't positioned as practical hydration tools. They're accessories. They're photographed on runways, carried by influencers, and designed to be seen.
If You Want Function Over Fashion
If your priority is keeping drinks cold for hours, you don't need to spend £600. A good insulated water bottle does the same job for a fraction of the price.
A stainless steel water bottle with double-wall vacuum insulation will keep drinks cold for 24 hours and hot for 12 hours. No calfskin holder required.
If you like the look of glass but don't want to worry about breaking it, a glass water bottle with a protective sleeve gives you the clean taste without the designer price tag.
And if convenience is your priority, a water bottle with straw makes sipping easier without unscrewing a lid, whether you're at your desk or in the gym.
The Bottom Line
Designer water bottles exist because fashion houses know that everyday objects can be turned into status symbols. A Givenchy flask says something different than a standard gym bottle. Whether that something is worth £500 is entirely personal.
For most people, a £30 bottle that keeps drinks cold all day is plenty. But if you want your hydration to match your handbag, now you know your options.
